ISUZU FVR off-road chassis, UNIC telescopic boom crane
ISUZU truck-mounted cranes, also called ISUZU truck with crane, ISUZU boom crane trucks, play an important role in modernization construction. They have multiple uses such as hoisting and transportation and are multi-functional special vehicles. With the needs of social development, the market prospect of truck-mounted cranes is very broad. It is mainly composed of four parts: chassis, crane, cargo box, and outriggers. The cranes are divided into two types: telescopic type and knuckle type. The power of the crane is taken out through the power take-off to drive the gear pump to work. The hydraulic oil pipe is connected to the hydraulic valve to perform related assembly operations.
ISUZU truck-mounted crane UNIC is a four-wheel drive special vehicle mainly used for cargo lifting and transportation tasks. The truck is based on ISUZU FVR 4×4 chassis. It is equipped with an efficient UNIC telescopic boom crane, which has excellent lifting capacity and working range to cope with cargo lifting tasks of different types and weights. The ISUZU crane truck has excellent performance and versatility, and can perform lifting operations in complex terrain conditions, with wider adaptability.

Four common faults and repairs of ISUZU truck-mounted cranes
1. The ISUZU boom crane is not working, the lifting capacity is reduced, and it obviously fails to meet the specified requirements.
Fault phenomenon: (1) The gear pump does not work. First of all, check whether the air pressure of the vehicle has 6 to 7 pressures, whether the power take-off power switch and solenoid valve are energized, and whether the power take-off air circuit is ventilated. In most cases, it is because the power take-off handle is not pushed in place. This can be solved by pushing the handle into place; or the internal gear of the power take-off may be damaged, and the power take-off needs to be repaired. (2) The gear pump is working, and the crane speed is sometimes slow and sometimes fast. There is insufficient oil in the fuel tank. You need to add enough hydraulic oil. The oil filter is blocked and you need to clean it.
2. The hydraulic system pressure is too low. If there is a leak in the system, check all pipes and components and take measures to stop the leak. The pressure of the relief valve is too low. Check the setting pressure of the relief valve (the specified setting pressure of the relief valve is 14Mpa (for 2~3 tons) /17.5Mpa (for 5~8 tons).) If the relief valve loses its pressure regulating function, the relief valve should be repaired and the damaged parts should be replaced. The volumetric efficiency of the oil pump is reduced and the oil pump needs to be replaced.
3. The luffing cylinder is weak. The sealing ring in the luffing cylinder is damaged, causing internal leakage to increase. Replace the damaged seal and piston. The piston in the luffing cylinder is damaged or the cylinder barrel of the luffing cylinder is deformed, causing internal leakage to increase. Check whether the cylinder barrel is deformed.
4. The winch is weak. The volumetric efficiency of the hoist plunger oil motor is reduced. Replace the hoist plunger oil and motor. The goods will obviously drop naturally after being lifted (more than 2mm/min). It can be clearly seen that the luffing piston rod is pulled out, the movable arm and legs are obviously retracted, and the lifting hook is naturally lowered. Internal leakage occurs in the luffing cylinder, telescopic cylinder, and the outrigger cylinder. Replace the damaged seals and pistons. The luffing cylinder and telescopic balance valve are damaged. Replace or repair the balance valve. The two-way hydraulic lock at the outrigger is damaged. Replace or repair the two-way hydraulic lock, the volumetric efficiency of the hoist motor is reduced, and the friction brake pads in the hoist gearbox are damaged. Replace the friction brake pads and motor.
What types of gear pumps are there for ISUZU truck-mounted cranes?
The gear pump is the core that directly affects the operating efficiency of the Isuzu truck-mounted crane. The gear pump converts the torque from the engine into the pressure of the hydraulic system. It is the power component of the hydraulic system. There are three main types of gear pumps used on ISUZU truck cranes: single pump, double pump, and plunger pump.
Single pump
Single gear pump has only one oil outlet.
Advantages: stable performance, low maintenance rate, the most mature crane technology in China, and relatively cheap price
Disadvantages: small power, only one movement can be controlled during ISUZU truck with crane operation, low work efficiency, and slower speed than double pumps and plunger pumps.
Double pump:
A double pump consists of a motor driving two gear pumps through a coupling, which means that two single pumps are installed together and have two oil outlets.
Advantages: ISUZU truck-mounted crane with double pump has high working efficiency, large fuel supply, strong stability, good heat dissipation performance, long working time, and two people can operate at the same time during the operation.
Disadvantages: The purchase price is relatively expensive and the maintenance cost is high
Plunger pump
The plunger pump is actually a single gear pump, but its internal structure is more complex than the single gear pump. The plunger pump has a large flow rate, a small size, and a light weight.
Advantages: sufficient power, stable oil pressure, long-term durability, long life, safe and reliable, and can operate two actions at the same time during operation.
Disadvantages: The cleanliness requirements of hydraulic oil are relatively high. Small particles mixed in can easily block the oil circuit, and the purchase price is relatively high, and the maintenance cost is also relatively high.
